Cloaked in Blossoms

An iconic spring view from Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

While it has been so dreadfully hot and humid the past week it has been fun to remember how chilly, yet lovely this spring was. Who doesn’t like cherry blossoms? I love how so many visitors to my local garden haunt, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, find personal ways to celebrate these trees. It’s often selfies galore. When I came across this young woman practically hidden within the embrace of the blossoms, I knew it was a quick few snaps of the camera and there was the subject of my next painting. And for a few hours a day over a couple of weeks, I had this most happy subject to play around with.
