Winter’s Tale

Prospect Park the day after an evening snow storm.

When it snows I get out there and walk around as soon as I can. This storm dumped a few inches of snow on Saturday evening, and by Sunday noon, the temps were warm enough to just about melt it all away. I managed to capture a few areas that still had white cover and some fluff in the tree branches. I hadn’t intended to paint this critter, but when I edited through my photographs of the afternoon, I was grabbed by the tiny guy’s outline and motion, as well as his owner’s nicely-backlit shape and red sneakers. Meantime, I am still waiting for a more substantial snowfall…winter is not over yet.
