Winter by Lakeside

From where I stood there was only light and color.

If summer is all about the greens then winter is surely about the blues. All it takes for me to be content is a sunny day, a large body of water and some fresh snow. Here’s the glistening lake near the skating rink in Prospect Park, with all the makings of a happy scene to paint. I love how there’s always a lot of color out there waiting to be discovered, even in the dead of winter.
