Le Paysage Alsacien

Stop the bus! I want to get off and look.

So you are traveling and taking a train or a bus and anticipating the destination ahead. You find that there is all this wondrous landscape flying by as you look out the window. Sometimes you can get the camera to focus enough with the lens pressed against the glass; sometimes you’re lucky and get a decent photograph. From my seat on the bus, these landscapes of vineyards and farms and flat fields have been etched in my mind.

This landscape, from somewhere along the road, is from my July art workshop with Denis Ponsot and group in Colmar, France. It’s been a quick, fun painting to help me get me back in to the studio and begin recounting the great things that I saw and experienced on this trip. Looking forward to more paysages.
