Prospect Park Morning

A quick painting for Yom Kippur

This beautifully sunny morning was my opportunity to go to Prospect Park and snap some photographs and find an image to paint. I spent time during the Yom Kippur holiday painting this image and for this year, it was the calm and serenity that made the day special.

The rolling hills, the shadows, the sense of foreground and background, and the little yellow soccer player: how much more could I celebrate life than with this?
