Rainy Day Delaware River

Discovering the relationship of land to water

It wouldn’t be a vacation without rain on the first day. This was the first plein air painting I’ve done as a new watercolorist. The view of the Delaware River toward New Hope was from the large windows in my hotel room.

Here is where I began exploring the relationship of the land to water within this view. The thin orange/brown land segment between the two fascinated me, as well as the water reflections.
